Thou Shalt Not Judge

Judgment      Judgment is for God, and not for humans. “Thou shalt not judge!”      "Do not judge, and you will not be judged. Do not condemn, and you will       not be condemned. Forgive, and you will be forgiven." Luke 6:37 Perceiving wrongs Perceptions are based on attitudes, beliefs, and habits, which may be biased and distorted because they’re derived from the unique past experiences of an individual. They’re all processed and interpreted by the thinking mind of that individual. Wrong predicting In 1901,  Wilbur Wright said that man would not fly for fifty years. Henry Ford 's banker was told by a lawyer: "The horse is here to stay, but the automobile is only a novelty, a fad."  Just as the Wright brothers and Henry Ford were not afraid to go forward with their own visions, instead of relying on the opinions of the skeptics. These so-called experts all had their "wrong" predictions. Judging and executing Judging others a...

Seeking God

Seeking God requires your humility , which is the opposite of pride. God is above, and you’re below. Humility opens the door to God, who never changes Himself but who forever changes those coming to Him with humility. So, your belief becomes your becoming, which is your self-transformation. Believing in God comes with free gifts—eternal life,  hope, joy, and peace—and your free will—your freedom of choice to receive or not to receive those free gifts from God. Your freedom of will is based on three essentials: Faith : Believing in the existence and the presence of God is your obeying His Commandments with your own accountability to God. Trust : Trusting God is your believing in the veracity of His Word.      "So is my word that goes out from my mouth It   will not return to me empty b    it will accomplish what I desire a    and achieve the purpose for which I sent it.” Isaiah : 55:11 ·     Obedience : Obedience is your d...

Life and Living

You were born and brought into this world without knowing it. Then, you began to develop and grow up. Your objective of life and living is to survive and thrive. This has everything to do with those around you, such as your parents or foster parents.  Meaning and Purpose Your life and living should have a meaning  and a purpose . If your parents and those around are positive, you may develop your own positive life and living. On the other hand, negative upbringing often gives a life without any meaning or purpose, thus leading to a dangerous and reckless life, committing crimes and violence further down the road. Basic Values and Core Values   Your life and living should also involve basic values and core values. Basic values are not purposely doing the wrong things in life, such as hurting and stealing with no accountability. Core values are your contemplation and self-reflection of your personal values to survive and thrive in your future, such as your choices and deci...

Your Perceptions and Your Realities

E njoyment comes from the thinking mind, connected to the body.   The human brain is composed of neurons or nerve cells that transmit information and messages; they’re the building blocks of the brain for the efficient functioning of the thinking mind. N eurons are responsible for all human behaviors in the form of  perceptions , which then trigger a mental process in the thinking mind that may result in an action or an emotion. If the process becomes  instinctive , then the output in the form of actions or emotions is also  automatic  and  predictable . That’s how  attitudes  and  habits  are formed, including the fight-or-flight response to any dangerous situation. This automatic or spontaneous mental process is often  not  “by choice” but “by instinct." This “learned” and “acquired” mental process is often responsible for thinking and actions, as well as for beliefs and emotions. So, it’s important for the thinking min...

The Sins of the World

Image
The Sins of  humans are their failures in choosing their actions, their thoughts, and their emotions to love God and to love others. Their failures in choices lead to their misbehaviors and wrong judgments, with their self-deceptions and self-illusions stored in their subconscious minds living in their flesh.   The truth is that all humans, without any exception, commit sins every day because they all rely on their minds to tell them how to think, what to do, and when to act or react according to their thoughts. Repeating Sins Humans always repeat their sins, which’re their failures to love God and to love others around, even though they might have already received their forgiveness from God.  Satan, the Devil, is an expert in creating doubts in human minds, causing them to  question in their hearts if God had “really” forgiven them. Denying Sins Many humans, living in a sinful world, simply deny their committing sins with no victims, such as stealing a pair ...

Why Do People Commit Suicide?

Image
Committing suicide has much to do with the mind. As a matter of fact, living in this material world has much to do with the thinking mind: how it perceives and interprets life experiences  The death of  Robin Williams , the Hollywood actor, some years ago  had shocked the world. Why did he kill himself? The media had been trying to figure it out what drove him to committing suicide. Apparently, Robin Williams had everything that most people would wish for: career, fame, money, and success. He was diagnosed with depression and Parkinson's disease, but that might not have driven him to end his life so tragically. So, what was on his mind? The brain is one of the most important organs in the human body because it controls what we do, and, more importantly, how we think. The mind is the storage place for our thoughts and memories that determine our actions and reactions in life. People kill themselves because they are unhappy wit...

Ways of Living Your Life

There’re different ways of living life in this forever-changing world. They all come from the thinking mind, which may change positively or negatively with different life experiences in different phases of life. 1. Living by Wants Many live according to what they want in life. Wants can come from basic needs, such as food, clothing, and shelter, or from other things desired in life, such as comfort, health, love, pleasures, success, wealth, and many others. First, living by wants requires the means , that is, the money or the earnings to make a living, without which it’s impossible to get the wants. Unfortunately, many without the means yet demand their wants, and thus end up in crimes, such as stealing and robbing. In life and living, there’re many wants , including the following: wanting alcohol may result in AUD (Alcohol Use Disorder);  wanting gambling can happen to anyone from any walk of life, due to the fun that often turns into an unhealthy obsession with serious financi...

Believing in Yourself

Image
Believing in yourself is self-efficacy. Believing in yourself is confidence in your own ability, knowing what you have to do to win or simply to get what you want in life. Diane Sawyer   once said: “Whatever you want in life, other people are going to want it too. Believe in yourself enough to accept the idea that you have an equal right to it.”  Believing in yourself is one of the first steps to success in doing   anything   that becomes the very substance of your confidence. To have confidence, you must set goals, and achieving your goals helps you build more confidence. But believing in yourself is not easy, especially if you are getting older. You look back and there are so many goals you have not accomplish. Looking back in the past may create negativity in the form of victimization. In other words, you may find you are a victim of circumstances; this may also lead to bitterness, despair, or even anger. One of the reasons why sometimes you don’t have self-effica...

Penitence and Salvation

Penitence is more than just asking God for forgiveness. Penitence is humans showing their “broken spirits” and their “contrite hearts” with their humility to strengthen their resistance against any future temptation to sins, as well as showing their gratitude to God for His gift of mercy. Only the Holy Spirit can help humans overcome their control and dominance of their flesh to receive the eternal life promised by God. The Eternity Eternal life is a quality of life that begins on earth and continues a new life in heaven. “4   We were therefore buried with him through baptism into death in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, we too may live a new life.” Romans 6:4 Jesus says: “ Whoever hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life . He does not come into judgment, but has passed from death to life!” ( John 5:24). “Born Again” Death is a reality and a fact of life. Nobody lives forever. But death is the only ...

Following God's Biblical Instructions

Living by faith is following God's Word in the Bible, which has   God’s Word, the Bible, has 66 books (according to Protestants) and 77 books (according to Catholics); 39 of them are in the Old Testament, and 27 of them are in the New Testament. THE OLD TESTAMENT Genesis is about the genes and genetics of Adam and Eve, and Noah. God teaches you about your “new beginning” with Him .
